Why does the price at checkout differ from the product page?

On the product page, the product price is shown including VAT. At checkout, the total amount may differ slightly due to:

• Excise duty: Coffee in the Netherlands is subject to excise duty of approx. €0.27 per bag. This is shown separately in the shopping basket.
• VAT rate: In the Netherlands, coffee is subject to 9% VAT; in Belgium this is 6% and in Germany 7%. 
• Tiered pricing: For larger quantities, a volume discount may apply.
