Swisso Kaffee: coffee beans and instant cappuccino
Swisso Kaffee is a German coffee brand, and on this page you'll find its 100% Arabica coffee beans in 1 kg bags alongside its instant cappuccino and instant drinking chocolate. The beans are for a bean-to-cup machine, an espresso machine or a moka pot: Crema is medium roasted and mild, while Espresso is dark roasted and stronger. The instant drinks need no machine at all, just hot water and a spoon. The cappuccino comes as White, Caramel, Hazelnut and Vanilla, and the Drinking Chocolate contains no coffee. Below the products you'll find how Crema and Espresso compare on strength and how to make the instant drinks.

Which Swisso suits you?
Swisso Crema and Swisso Espresso differ in roast and strength; the instant cappuccinos share one base and differ in flavour.
Swisso Crema coffee beans
Swisso Crema is a 100% Arabica blend from several African countries, medium roasted in Germany. It sits at 6 out of 13 on our strength scale; Swisso rates its intensity 3 out of 5. Expect a mild, balanced cup with a gentle aroma and a velvety crema. Swisso recommends Crema for coffee with milk, such as a latte, but it is just as good black as a longer caffè crema.
Swisso Espresso coffee beans
Swisso Espresso is also a 100% Arabica blend from several African countries, but dark roasted, which puts it at 10 out of 13 on our strength scale (Swisso: 4 out of 5). The flavour is strong and the aroma pronounced. Swisso makes this blend for a strong, dark espresso, and it also works with milk in a cappuccino or latte.
Swisso instant cappuccino and Drinking Chocolate
Swisso instant cappuccino is a powder of instant coffee, creamer and sugar that gives a frothy cappuccino with nothing but hot water. Cappuccino White is the plain version: mild, milky and slightly sweet. Caramel, Hazelnut and Vanilla are flavoured versions of the same cappuccino. Swisso Drinking Chocolate is a sweet instant chocolate drink without coffee. Each 1 kg bag makes around 80 cups.
How to make Swisso instant cappuccino
To make Swisso instant cappuccino, put about 7 teaspoons of powder in a cup, pour on 150 to 200 ml of hot water at around 80 °C and stir well. Hot but not boiling is the point, so leave the kettle to stand for a few minutes after it boils. You need no milk and no coffee machine. Swisso Drinking Chocolate is made in exactly the same way, and you can use warm milk instead of water if you prefer.
Brewing Swisso coffee beans
Swisso Crema and Swisso Espresso are whole beans, so they need grinding just before brewing. Swisso recommends a bean-to-cup machine or a moka pot, and both blends also suit an espresso machine with a separate grinder. Wondering how long a 1 kg bag lasts? How many cups of coffee do you get from 1 kg of coffee beans? does the maths.
