Melitta Bentz was fed up with coffee grounds. Instead of leaving the coffee behind, she decided to look for a solution. A brass dish with holes in combination with blotting paper became the predecessor of the coffee filter, a product that is now indispensable. On December 15, 1908, the company M. Bentz, which still exists today, was founded. Although Melitta passed away in the 1950s, the fourth generation of Bentz is still passionate about the coffee world. Of course, a lot has changed in over 100 years. The filters have been improved, for example, so that the coffee taste is even more pronounced.
