The Lazarro Espresso Dark Roast is a darkly roasted blend of arabica and robusta beans. It is strong and aromatic and lends itself well to an intense espresso or a caffè lungo, but also to cappuccino and latte macchiato.

The Lazarro Barista Caffè Crema is also a blend of arabica and robusta, but more lightly roasted. It is milder in taste with notes of chocolate and spices and gives a nice layer of crema. It is made for cappuccino, latte and lungo. In short: Dark Roast for strong and intense, Caffè Crema for softer and creamier.

Each tin contains 340 grams. At the recommended dose of 28 grams per cup, that works out at about twelve cups per tin.

The trio contains three tins of 340 grams, 1.02 kilos in total. That makes about 36 cups of chai latte. If you use a slightly lighter dose, you will of course get more cups out of it.

The ingredient list of this blend is short: rooibos, lemongrass and marigold petals. The lemongrass provides the fresh citrus note and the marigold petals give the blend its colourful look in the cup. If you have an allergy or want to check the full and current list, always look at the label on the packaging you receive.

illy Classico is the medium roast: smooth and velvety. illy Intenso is the dark roast, with a more powerful character and a robust finish. It is the same 100 percent Arabica blend, just roasted darker. With this tasting pack you taste both roasts side by side without having to buy two full packs.

This tasting pack consists of whole coffee beans, 4 x 250 grams. So you need an espresso machine or a bean to cup machine with a grinder, or a separate coffee grinder.

We recommend water of around 80 degrees and a steeping time of 2 to 3 minutes, with about 2 grams of tea per cup. Do not pour boiling water over a green tea such as this Sencha, because it will quickly turn bitter and you will lose the mellow base beneath the ginger and orange. If you do not have a kettle with a temperature setting, let boiling water cool down for about five minutes before you pour.

The ingredient list is: black tea, lavender blossom and flavouring. The flavouring provides the bergamot note that gives Earl Grey its typical character, while the lavender blossom lays a floral layer underneath.

You receive whole coffee beans in a 1 kilo bag. Ground coffee is not an option for this item, so you need a coffee grinder or a machine with a built-in grinder.

Only grind the beans just before brewing; that way the aroma is best preserved. For espresso use a fine espresso grind, for a percolator or filter machine a coarser grind.

This coffee has an intensity of 9 out of 13, which we classify as very strong: robust but not extreme.

Thanks to the dark roasting process you taste warm notes of milk chocolate, with nuances of roasted nuts and the natural sweetness of figs and dates. Gentle sweetness and a refined bitterness come together in a full, creamy cup.

If you want it less bitter, use a slightly coarser grind or let the coffee run through for a shorter time.

Use about 2 teaspoons per 200 ml of water at 70 to 80 degrees and let the tea steep for 2 to 3 minutes.

Do not use boiling water. It makes green tea bitter, and the sweet cherry and white chocolate notes then fade into the background. So let your kettle cool down for a minute before you pour.
