We are not allowed to sell this tea as organic. We buy the Chun Mee from our supplier as organic tea, but our EU organic certification does not yet apply to the packing of tea. That is why there is no organic label on the packaging and we do not call the product organic.
You receive 4 stainless steel drinking straws plus a cleaning brush with which you can also clean the inside of the straws properly. That is all you need: the straws are endlessly reusable and replace a whole pile of disposable straws.
These tablets are meant for the parts of your machine that come into contact with coffee, such as the brew group. They remove coffee oils and coffee residues that you cannot get out by rinsing alone. Our customer service regularly explains that such cleaning tablets can replace the standard cleaning tablets for your machine. Your machine's manual remains leading for the correct use and dosage.
This is one of the most frequently asked questions to our customer service. Descaling tablets dissolve limescale in the water-carrying part of your machine: the water tank, the pipes and the boiler. Cleaning tablets do something else: they remove coffee oils and coffee residue from the brew group and the parts that come into contact with coffee. So you need both, they do not replace each other. For milk-carrying parts there is a third product: milk cleaner.
That is possible, but pay close attention to the grind size. From our customer service we know that a grind that is too fine gets stuck in a filter machine, which makes the filter overflow and leaves grit in the jug or the cup. If you grind too coarse, the coffee becomes weak instead. For a filter machine use a filter grind and rather increase the dose, about 5 to 8 grams per cup, than grind finer. These beans come into their own best in a semi automatic or bean to cup machine.
The Gina tasting pack consists of two 1 kilo bags of coffee beans: the Gina Caffè Crema and the Gina Wiener Kaffee. That way you taste two Gina blends side by side and find out which one suits your taste best.
The Caffè Crema is known for its full crema layer. The Wiener Kaffee is roasted in Austria and has a full, robust aroma.
Yes. The Gourmet Colombus comes as whole beans in a 1 kilo bag and has a medium roast, so no blackened, oily bean. A bean to cup machine handles that nicely.
Customers regularly ask us which Hausbrandt suits their bean to cup machine. According to our product data this coffee is suitable for espresso, filter coffee and cappuccino.
The packaging of Julius Meinl now says Vienna, because the brand comes from Vienna. The packaging has been updated and looks different from before, but the beans in the bag have stayed the same. If you have a largely black pack with the number 9000403895327 below the barcode, you have the Julius Meinl Espresso Premium Collection in your hands.
The tasting pack consists of four 1 kilo bags: Hausbrandt Qualità Rossa, Hausbrandt Espresso (Nonnetti), Hausbrandt Gourmet Columbus and Hausbrandt Superbar. That way you taste four blends from the same brand side by side and discover which coffee suits your taste best.
The tea filter has a diameter of 5.5 cm and is 7 cm high. From handle to handle it measures 10.5 cm, and it is on those handles that the filter rests on the rim of your cup, glass or teapot. Do measure the inside dimension of your cup or pot: if the opening is narrower than about 5.5 cm, this filter will not fit in it.
Landhaus Klassisch has a filter grind, which makes it ideal for the classic filter coffee machine and for percolators. Simply spoon the coffee into a paper or permanent filter and let the machine do the rest.
It is too coarse for an espresso machine: the water runs through too quickly and the coffee ends up thin and sour. It does work in a cafetière (French press), but because the grind is relatively fine you will get more sediment in your cup. In that case, brew it for a little less time and pour carefully.
Naturmild refers to the character of the blend. The beans and the roast have been chosen so that the coffee is low in acidity, which gives a soft, rounded cup with a lightly nutty note and no sharp finish.
People who sometimes find ordinary filter coffee a bit sharp or harsh often end up with this type of coffee. Do bear in mind that mild here refers to the taste and not to caffeine: the caffeine content is simply that of regular coffee. If you are looking for coffee without caffeine, have a look at Landhaus Entkoffeiniert.
Within the European Union, roasted coffee may only be called decaffeinated if the caffeine content stays below 0.1% of the dry matter. In practice that comes down to a few milligrams per cup, compared with roughly 80 to 100 milligrams in a normal cup of filter coffee.
So it is not quite zero, but the difference is so great that most people can enjoy a cup in the evening without any trouble.
Gala Mild Aroma has a filter grind: exactly the fineness that filter coffee machines and percolators are built for. Simply spoon the coffee into a paper or permanent filter and let the machine do the rest.
