You will probably have heard about the Kilimanjaro. With a stunning height of 5895 meter it is the highest mountain in Africa. Near this beautiful terrain is where the Tanzania coffee is farmed. The Vulcanic slope is a fertile area and suited perfectly for the Arabica coffee plants. The climate is stable and there is access to multiple water sources or rivers.
This Tanzania coffee is roasted in our own small roastery to a medium roast. The coffee tastes quite sharp with a wine like sour. Just a medium coffee with a rich taste with every sip. This coffee is AA quality, from the highest quality of beans.

According to the Tanzania coffee board coffee was first introduced in Tanzania in 1898 surrouding Moshi in the shadow of the mountain. In present time the region is know for the highest quality of Tanzanian coffee.

The coffee beans of Café du jour's own brand are roasted in small batches by a specialist roast master. The beans are stocked and roasted weekly, so the roasting date is always recent. The roasting date is always stated on the coffee label.
Resealable Coffee packaging.
Whether you decide to buy 250 grams, 500 grams or a kilo coffee beans the packaging will always be resealable. The coffee packaging is provided with a special resealable edge so the packaging is always closed airtight. On the front of the bag is fitted with a filter so air and other gasses can escape the bag without letting air in. This is how we make sure everything is done to save the freshness of your coffee!
