Which spices are in Red Rooibos Chai?

This chai contains rooibos, cinnamon, cardamom, black pepper and cloves. Cinnamon and cardamom are the most noticeable, black pepper gives a subtle kick and cloves add depth.

All ingredients come from organic cultivation. If you have an allergy, always read the ingredient list on the packaging.

Do all tea bags in the Sunleaf sleeve contain caffeine?

No. The black and green teas in the sleeve, such as Earl Grey, English Blend and Green Tea, naturally contain caffeine, also known as theine. The rooibos and the herbal and fruit infusions are naturally caffeine free. On each box you can read which type of tea it is.

Is the Kimbo Classic Italian tasting pack suitable for a bean to cup machine?

Yes. These are whole beans, suitable for bean to cup machines and espresso machines with a built-in bean grinder.

All four blends are Italian espresso blends with a nice crema, so they work both for a single espresso and for milk drinks such as cappuccino and latte. If you use a manual espresso machine with a portafilter, you grind the beans yourself to espresso grind.

Can I change the contents of the illy Arabica tasting pack myself?

No, this is a fixed bundle with four pre-selected origins. Swapping or replacing items within the pack is not possible.

If you want a specific origin in a different quantity, order it separately. The individual illy Arabica Selection 250 gram packs are simply available separately in our webshop.

How many cups of tea do I get from 100 grams of Kasteelhof?

At around 2 grams per cup, a 100 gram pack gives you about 50 cups. If you use a large mug or like your tea strong, it will be slightly fewer. Store the tea dry, dark and well sealed, so the apple pieces and petals keep their scent for as long as possible.

Can you also brew tea in the Hario Mizudashi?

Yes, the Hario Mizudashi is suitable for coffee and for tea. Put loose leaf tea or tea bags in the mesh filter, fill the pot with cold water and place it in the fridge.

For cold brew tea you allow a steeping time of 6 to 8 hours. Because you are using cold water, hardly any bitter compounds are released and you get a smooth, clear iced tea.

What does 2-phase mean with these Scanpart cleaning tablets?

The tablet works in two steps. In phase 1 the tablet dissolves stubborn coffee residue and coffee oils. In phase 2 the tablet leaves a protective layer that counteracts new deposits.

You use the tablet in the normal cleaning programme of your machine, as described in the manual.

How many cups do I get from 100 grams of Rooibos Ginger Lemon?

The pack contains 100 grams of loose rooibos tea. At the usual dosage of about 2 grams per cup, that gives you around 50 cups. If you brew the tea in a pot or like it stronger, you will get slightly fewer cups.

Do I get coffee beans or ground coffee with the Single Serve Drip Bags Trio?

You do not get loose beans or a pack of ground coffee. Every drip bag is a pre-filled mini filter with freshly ground coffee, measured out for exactly one cup of 150 to 180 ml.

So you do not have to grind or weigh anything and you do not need a coffee maker. Just hot water and a cup. That makes them handy on the go, at the office, in a hotel or at the campsite.

Where does the Auro Saloy 100% cacao chocolate come from?

Auro makes this chocolate in the Philippines. Saloy is part of Auro's Reserve Collection, for which beans from one single harvest are used.

The plantations lie among tropical mountain forests and are fed by fresh spring water. You taste that character again in the spicy, slightly fruity profile of this bar.

How many cups of tea do I get from 100 grams of Rooibos Lemon Cheesecake?

This package contains 100 grams of loose leaf rooibos tea. At the usual dosage of about 2 grams per cup, that works out at around 50 cups. If you prefer to make a whole pot or like your tea a bit stronger, you will of course get slightly fewer cups out of it.

How do I brew the tea from the Discovery Box?

Use one tea bag per cup and follow the brewing advice on the bag, because it differs per blend. Preferably use soft, low mineral water. For green tea we recommend water of around 80 degrees and a steeping time of 2 to 3 minutes, because boiling water quickly makes green tea bitter. Black tea and herbal infusions can steep hotter and longer.

Which brewing methods can I use Julius Meinl Jubiläum for?

This bag contains 1 kilo of whole beans, which you grind yourself or have your bean to cup machine grind. In our product data the Jubiläum is listed for espresso, lungo, crema, cappuccino, latte and filter coffee. If you grind yourself, choose espresso grind for an espresso machine and filter grind for a pour over filter, because the two are not interchangeable. Allow about 16 to 20 grams for a double espresso and 5 to 8 grams per cup of filter coffee.

Can I make a chai latte with milk from this chai tea?

You can. You drink the Original Black Spice Chai plain or the Indian way, with warm milk and a little sweetness. Brew the bag a bit stronger, for example two bags in a large mug, and top it up with warm or frothed milk to taste. The spicy base of cinnamon, cardamom and ginger still comes through well.
