Is this tamper suitable for my espresso machine?
This Motta coffee tamper is suitable for all portafilters with a filter basket of exactly 58 mm in diameter. Always check the diameter of your machine's filter basket. If it is 58 mm, then this tamper will fit perfectly.
Which flavours and spicy notes can I expect from this Mulled Wine Tea?
This tea combines the sweet and warming flavour of cinnamon with spicy notes of cardamom, clove, pepper and star anise. The addition of orange peel, lemon peel and a hint of vanilla creates a lightly fruity and full-bodied finish – exactly that cosy, wintry taste sensation you expect from mulled wine.
How much mulled wine can I make with one 50 gram sachet of spice mix?
With one 50 gram sachet you can make approximately 6 to 8 litres of mulled wine, depending on how many spices you use per litre. We recommend about 2 tablespoons (approximately 6-8 grams) per 0.75 to 1 litre of wine.
Is the Motta tamper suitable for professional use?
Yes, this Motta tamper is of high quality and very suitable for both passionate home baristas and professional use in hospitality or espresso bars.
Does the weight of the tamper make a difference when tamping the coffee?
The solid weight of the stainless steel tamper base ensures an even distribution of pressure, making tamping easier and more consistent. This contributes to a better extraction of your espresso.
How long does this filter last and when should I replace it?
We recommend replacing the filter at least every 2 months, or sooner if you reach the capacity of 50 litres of water (approximately 400 cups of coffee or 1000 cups of espresso). This way, the water quality remains optimal and you protect your machine.
Can I leave the water filter in the machine during descaling?
No, always remove the water filter from the machine before you start the descaling process. This prevents damage to the filter and any potential blockages.
Does this spice mix contain only spices, or are there already sweeteners or other additives included?
This blend contains only pure spices: star anise, cloves, orange peel (2 types), Ceylon cinnamon and anise. No sweeteners, sugars or other additives have been added. You can add sugar or fruit to your mulled wine as desired.
What does the blend of the MrKoffieboon Medrupia coffee beans consist of?
These coffee beans are a blend of beans from Ethiopia, Guatemala, Colombia and India. Approximately 90% of the blend consists of arabica beans, the remaining 10% of robusta.
What makes these Kenyan coffee beans special compared to other coffee varieties?
These beans come from high, fertile lands in Kenya and contain coffee varieties such as SL28 and SL34, which are known for their high quality and distinctive flavour profile. Thanks to the combination of climate, soil, and the artisanal roasting process, you will taste a full, fruity symphony that is characteristic of top quality from Kenya.
In what kind of packaging are these coffee beans delivered and how does the coffee stay fresh?
Our Kenya coffee beans are always delivered in a resealable coffee bag with a special valve. This allows air to escape, but not enter, which significantly extends the freshness. Thanks to the airtight seal, your coffee remains full of aroma right up to the last bean.
Should I add the spices loose or is it better to use a filter?
We recommend adding the mulled wine spice mix to the wine preferably using a tea or herb filter (or, for example, a reusable tea bag). This prevents the loose pieces from floating in the drink. Remove the filter once you have reached the desired strength of flavour.
Are these coffee beans suitable for fully automatic machines and espresso machines?
Yes, these Kenya 100% arabica coffee beans are suitable for all brewing methods that use whole beans, such as fully automatic machines, semi-automatic machines, and espresso machines. The fruity notes are beautifully expressed in both espresso and longer coffee variants.
For which devices are these descaling tablets not suitable?
These tablets are not suitable for galvanised or enamelled equipment. Use them only in equipment with an acid-resistant surface to prevent damage.
How should I clean the machine after descaling?
We recommend always rinsing your machine thoroughly at least three times with clean water after descaling, to ensure that any remaining residues are completely removed.
