FAQ
Customer Questions
What temperature should the milk be for cappuccino with this milk thermometer

We recommend steamed milk between 66 and 77 degrees. That guideline is also given in the instructions with this milk and cappuccino thermometer. Above that temperature the milk becomes less sweet and the foam loses its structure. Clip the thermometer onto your milk jug and stop steaming as soon as the needle reaches this range.

Does this milk and cappuccino thermometer fit my milk jug

This thermometer comes with a clip that lets you attach it to the rim of your milk jug. It fits a stainless steel milk jug well. To be sure, quickly measure the thickness of the rim of your own jug, because with a very thick or double walled rim the clip can be too tight.

Can I calibrate this cappuccino thermometer myself

Yes, you can adjust this thermometer yourself using boiling water and a small spanner. The instructions for this are included. With normal use calibrating is hardly ever needed, but after a longer period you can make it read accurately again this way.

Which temperatures do you recommend for coffee and hot chocolate with this thermometer

Three guidelines come with this thermometer. For coffee we recommend between 88 and 93 degrees, for hot chocolate between 79 and 82 degrees and for steamed milk between 66 and 77 degrees. That way you can use the same thermometer for several drinks.
