JoeFrex Knock Box - Beech Wood Classic - Brown

The JoeFrex knock box measures 14 x 14 x 14 cm (width x depth x height). So it is exactly as tall as it is wide and takes up about as much space on your worktop as a large mug with a square base.

We get this question quite often, because the dimensions are hard to judge from a product photo. So just to be sure, measure how much room you have free next to or under your machine.

The outside is made of natural wood. In this new version the environmentally harmful glued plywood laminates of the old model have been replaced with natural wood, with the same stability and sturdiness.

Inside there is a removable plastic inner container made of PVC. It catches the coffee grounds and lifts straight out so you can empty and clean it.

The knock box is not tied to a brand or machine type. It is a separate box that you put next to your espresso machine and knock the coffee grounds from your portafilter into.

With outer dimensions of 14 x 14 x 14 cm this is a compact box that fits on almost any worktop. If you want to place it under a kitchen cabinet or next to a large machine, measure the free space first.

Take the plastic inner container out of the wooden housing, throw away the coffee grounds and rinse the inner container with warm water and a little washing-up liquid. Let it dry properly before you put it back.

Clean the wooden housing with a slightly damp cloth only. We advise against putting wood in the dishwasher or leaving it standing in water.
