How long does this filter last and when should I replace it?

We recommend replacing the filter at least every 2 months, or sooner if you reach the capacity of 50 litres of water (approximately 400 cups of coffee or 1000 cups of espresso). This way, the water quality remains optimal and you protect your machine.

Can I leave the water filter in the machine during descaling?

No, always remove the water filter from the machine before you start the descaling process. This prevents damage to the filter and any potential blockages.

Is this water filter suitable for my DeLonghi machine?

This water filter is compatible with DeLonghi fully automatic espresso machines from the ECAM series and combi espresso machines BCO420-BCO410 (type DLSC002 / SER3017). It is not suitable for the EAM or ESAM series. Always check the type of your machine before ordering.

Do I still need to descale my machine if I use this water filter?

Yes, even with the use of this filter, we recommend descaling your machine at least twice a year. The filter removes certain substances such as chlorine, lead and copper, but does not completely prevent the build-up of limescale.
