What is in the Cappuccino starter pack?

The pack contains two kilos of coffee beans and the accessories you need for a cappuccino:

A Café du Jour cappuccino cup and saucer, Café du Jour Espresso Madrugador coffee beans, Lavazza Barista Intenso coffee beans, a milk and cappuccino thermometer and a stainless steel ILSA milk jug with a capacity of 300 ml.

How hot can the milk get for a cappuccino from this starter pack?

For the best cappuccino, your milk gets to 75 degrees at most. That is why this pack includes a milk and cappuccino thermometer.

If you heat the milk further, it loses its natural sweetness and the foam layer becomes coarse. Froth the milk in the 300 ml stainless steel jug supplied and then tap the jug briefly on the worktop, so that the coarse bubbles disappear.

Do I get whole beans or ground coffee in the Cappuccino starter pack?

You get whole coffee beans: two kilos in total, split between Café du Jour Espresso Madrugador and Lavazza Barista Intenso. Both are espresso beans that come into their own in coffee with plenty of milk.

So there is no ground coffee in the pack. You need a bean to cup machine or a separate coffee grinder to grind the beans.

Does the Cappuccino starter pack include a coffee machine or milk frother?

No. The pack consists of coffee beans and accessories: a cup and saucer, a 300 ml stainless steel milk jug and a milk thermometer. A coffee machine or electric milk frother is not included.

You provide the appliance you use to brew the espresso and froth the milk yourself, and of course the milk.

Can I change the contents of the Cappuccino starter pack?
