What are the main flavour characteristics of the Lavazza Espresso Barista Intenso beans?
This coffee is characterised by a full, rich flavour with notes of dark chocolate, roasted nuts and subtle spices. The finish is intense and lingers for a long time. Several customers describe the coffee as robust, powerful, sometimes with a spicy character, but not overly bitter or sour. The crema is nicely full and adds a creamy texture to your espresso.
What makes Hausbrandt Gourmet special compared to other Italian coffee blends?
The difference lies mainly in the blend of 100% Arabica beans from four different countries, the low roasting temperature, and the balance between sweetness and acidity. In addition, Hausbrandt is a brand with a rich tradition since 1892, which results in a distinctive, authentic Italian coffee.
Are these coffee beans suitable for all types of coffee machines?
These are whole beans. They are therefore suitable for any machine with a grinder: fully automatic machines, semi-automatic machines and portafilter machines. They are not suitable for pod and capsule machines. Customers report that the beans are not too oily, which means they run well through coffee grinders and do not cause clogging, something that can occur with some other beans.
What flavour experience can I expect from the Caffè Hausbrandt Gourmet coffee beans?
This blend consists of 100% Arabica beans from Colombia, Guatemala, El Salvador and Brazil and is medium roasted. The flavour is balanced, slightly fruity with spicy and citrus notes. In addition, these beans are characterised by a delicate sweetness and refined acidity. All in all, you will experience a refined and typically Italian coffee experience.
Can the filter remain unused for a few days without any problems?
No, we recommend not leaving the filter unused or out of operation for more than two days. If left unused for longer periods, bacteria can develop in the filter. If the filter is not used for an extended period, we advise thoroughly rinsing it again before putting it back into use.
How strong is the Hausbrandt Gourmet coffee and for which coffee preparations is it suitable?
The intensity of this coffee is 7, which results in a strong but not bitter flavour. This makes these beans very suitable for espresso, cappuccino, lungo, and also as a base for other coffee specialities. Thanks to the medium roast, the fruity and spicy notes are well expressed in all preparations.
Which size DVA water softener do I need for my situation?
The right size depends on your water consumption: the 5 litre is generally suitable for regular household use, the 8 litre for intensive home use or light catering use, and the 12 litre for professional (catering) use. If you choose a larger variant, you will need to regenerate less frequently. To make a good estimate, look at the number of litres you consume and choose the size that best matches your needs.
Is Mövenpick Der Himmlische made from 100% Arabica beans?
Yes, Mövenpick Der Himmlische consists entirely of 100% Arabica coffee beans from selected highland regions.
I find the manual complicated, where can I find a step-by-step instruction?
We understand that the manual can sometimes come across as a bit technical. On our special regeneration page, you will find a clear, step-by-step explanation for regenerating and flushing your DVA water softener. If you still have any questions, please feel free to contact us for further clarification.
Which grind size is most suitable for these coffee beans?
We recommend a slightly coarser grind for these coffee beans. According to reviews, this brings out the best flavour, especially when used in a filter machine or cafetière.
What are the flavour characteristics of Mövenpick Der Himmlische coffee beans?
These beans deliver a balanced flavour with a rich aroma. The coffee is strong (intensity 7), yet not too pronounced, making it an ideal base or everyday coffee.
What makes this group brush better suited for cleaning a brew group than a regular brush?
Our group brush is specially designed for cleaning the brew group of your espresso machine. The black polyester bristles are firmer than those of a regular brush, making it more effective at removing caked-on residues and allowing you to thoroughly clean the group head.
My water filter is leaking at the connection or the bottom, what can I do about this?
Leakage at the connection or underside may be caused by a worn or poorly sealed O-ring, or by hairline cracks in the brass fitting. Check whether the O-ring is properly seated in the collar and replace it if necessary. We advise not to overtighten the locking nut, as excessive force may damage the fitting. Please note that the filter is only designed for use with domestic water pressure. Contact us if you suspect a construction fault; this may be covered under warranty.
After regeneration and thorough rinsing, the water sometimes remains a bit white or cloudy. Is that normal?
After regenerating and rinsing, the water may appear slightly cloudy or white, especially when the filter is new or has just been regenerated. This discolouration is usually harmless and does not affect the taste. Always make sure to flush at least 10 litres of water through the filter when first using it or after each regeneration until the water runs clear. Does the water remain white for longer? Then flush the filter thoroughly again.
Do I always receive exactly 10 jute coffee sacks in each box, and are these all genuine jute sacks?
We strive to always deliver 10 used jute coffee sacks per order. In rare cases, a deviation may occur. If you unexpectedly receive fewer than 10 sacks or if there is a sack included that is not made of jute, please feel free to contact us for an appropriate solution.
