This pack contains 1 x 100 grams of Earl Grey Dutch Special loose black tea and a pair of tea tongs. You use the tongs to scoop up loose tea, squeeze them shut and let the tea steep in hot water.

The Earl Grey Dutch Special is a black tea with the characteristic balance between bergamot and tea leaf. The combination makes this pack a good way to start with loose tea or to give as a gift.

From the 100 grams of Earl Grey Dutch Special you can make around 50 cups of tea. We work with around 2 grams of loose tea per cup.

If you like a strong cup, use a little more and you will get slightly fewer cups. For a large mug or a pot of several cups, scale the dosage accordingly.

Yes. Earl Grey Dutch Special is a black tea and black tea naturally contains caffeine, also known as theine. This pack is therefore not a caffeine free choice.

If you are looking for something without caffeine, take a look at rooibos or a herbal infusion. Those are naturally caffeine free.

Fill the tongs with around 2 grams of loose tea, so roughly a teaspoon, and squeeze them shut. Then hang the tongs in your cup or pot of hot water and let the tea steep.

Black tea such as Earl Grey can be made with hot water and steep a little longer than green tea. Take the tongs out afterwards, otherwise the tea will still turn bitter. Do not fill the tongs too full, because the tea leaves expand and need room to release their flavour.

No, this is a fixed pack with the Earl Grey Dutch Special and the tea tongs. Swapping the contents for a different type of tea is not possible with this item.
