FAQ
Customer Questions
What does the Vroege vogel green tea taste like?

This blend is fresh and invigorating. The base is green tea, complemented by peppermint, lemongrass, marigold and hibiscus. That gives a light minty freshness with a citrus note and a soft, slightly floral finish. That is exactly why this is a tea we recommend for early in the morning.

Does this tea contain caffeine?

Yes. The base of this blend is green tea, which naturally contains caffeine, although the amount is a good deal lower than in coffee. Together with the invigorating herbs peppermint and lemongrass, that makes this tea particularly suitable as a morning tea. If you want a cup for the evening, it is better to choose a herbal blend without green tea.

What water temperature and steeping time are best for this green tea?

We recommend water of around 80 degrees Celsius and a steeping time of 2 to 3 minutes. Boiling water quickly makes green tea bitter. Allow around 2 grams of loose tea per cup, and take the tea strainer or filter bag out after steeping so the tea does not keep brewing.

How many cups of tea do I get from a 100 gram pack?

At around 2 grams per cup, 100 grams of loose tea gives you about 50 cups. If you prefer a slightly stronger cup, you will still get a good 40. Store the tea dry, dark and well sealed, so the aroma of the mint and the lemongrass is preserved for as long as possible.
