FAQ
Customer Questions
Does Earl Grey Lavender contain caffeine or theine?

Yes. Earl Grey Lavender is a black tea and black tea naturally contains caffeine. Theine and caffeine are the same substance, just under a different name.

If you want a cup without caffeine, choose a rooibos or a herbal infusion. Those are naturally caffeine free.

What is in Earl Grey Lavender tea?

The ingredient list is: black tea, lavender blossom and flavouring. The flavouring provides the bergamot note that gives Earl Grey its typical character, while the lavender blossom lays a floral layer underneath.

If you have an allergy, always read the ingredient list on the packaging.

How do you brew Earl Grey Lavender loose leaf tea?

Allow about 2 grams of loose leaf tea per cup, roughly a level teaspoon. Pour water that has just come off the boil over the tea and let it steep for 3 to 5 minutes.

Because this is loose leaf tea, you need a tea strainer or a filter bag. If you let the tea steep for longer, the cup becomes stronger and drier in flavour.

How many cups of tea do you get from 100 grams of Earl Grey Lavender?

A 100 gram bag gives you about 50 cups, based on roughly 2 grams of tea per cup.

If you use a large mug or prefer your tea a little stronger, that number will come out slightly lower.

How do you best store Earl Grey Lavender loose leaf tea?

Store the tea dry, dark and tightly sealed, for example in its original packaging or in a tea tin. That keeps the bergamot and lavender notes for as long as possible.

Loose leaf tea picks up smells easily, so do not keep it next to strong smelling products. The fridge is not a good place to store it.
