Yes. Earl Grey Lavender is a black tea and black tea naturally contains caffeine. Theine and caffeine are the same substance, just under a different name.

If you want a cup without caffeine, choose a rooibos or a herbal infusion. Those are naturally caffeine free.

The ingredient list is: black tea, lavender blossom and flavouring. The flavouring provides the bergamot note that gives Earl Grey its typical character, while the lavender blossom lays a floral layer underneath.

Allow about 2 grams of loose leaf tea per cup, roughly a level teaspoon. Pour water that has just come off the boil over the tea and let it steep for 3 to 5 minutes.

Because this is loose leaf tea, you need a tea strainer or a filter bag. If you let the tea steep for longer, the cup becomes stronger and drier in flavour.

A 100 gram bag gives you about 50 cups, based on roughly 2 grams of tea per cup.
