Central America offers some excellent coffee, and this Honduras SGH Occidente Las Mercedes is yet another testament to that. Grown in the Copán region of western Honduras, close to the ancient Mayan city of Copán, these beans benefit from their historic surroundings. Growing at altitudes between 1,200 and 1,700 metres, the beans develop slowly, making them compact and exceptionally aromatic with a slightly fruity character.
Our coffee roaster has carefully slow-roasted the beans to a medium-dark level to reduce acidity. The result is a delightful coffee with a medium body, intense aroma, mild flavour, and notes of cherries with a citrus-like finish.
