Gimoka Aroma Classico is a characterful Italian coffee blend with a high proportion of Robusta. This composition delivers a powerful taste, a firm body and a rich crema layer, exactly as you’d expect from a classic Italian espresso.

Thanks to the high Robusta content, the coffee has a distinctly intense character with warm notes of cocoa and lightly roasted nuts. The traditional Italian roast enhances the full flavour and gives the coffee a long, powerful finish.

Gimoka Aroma Classico is ideal for espresso and lungo, but also works excellently in milk-based drinks such as cappuccino and latte macchiato. The bold flavour remains clearly present, even when combined with milk.

How strong is the Gimoka Aroma Classico?

The Aroma Classico is an Italian blend of arabica and robusta with a high proportion of robusta. That gives a firm body, a thick crema and an intense character with notes of cocoa and lightly roasted nuts.

The intensity is 10 with us, so very strong. If you like a mild, smooth cup of coffee, choose a blend with more arabica.

Can you use the Gimoka Aroma Classico in a bean to cup machine or espresso machine?

Yes. You buy whole beans in a 1 kilo bag, so you can use them in any machine with a bean grinder, such as a bean to cup machine or an espresso machine with a grinder.

The roast is medium, so the beans are not dark and oily. That runs nicely through the grinder of a bean to cup machine.

Which coffee drinks is the Gimoka Aroma Classico intended for?

This blend is primarily intended for espresso and lungo. According to our product data it is also suitable for crema, cappuccino and latte.

Thanks to its powerful flavour, the coffee remains clearly recognisable in milk drinks too.

What can you do if the espresso from the Gimoka Aroma Classico tastes too bitter?

Blends with a high robusta content can turn out bitter if the coffee is ground too fine or the extraction runs for too long. In that case choose a slightly coarser grind size or stop the extraction earlier.

For a double espresso we recommend around 16 to 20 grams of coffee. A slightly lower brewing temperature also takes the sharpness out of the cup.
