Made from premium Arabica coffee beans, meticulously sourced from select regions in South America and Asia, it is roasted in the traditional Neapolitan style. This results in a beautifully sweet and full-bodied aroma that strikes a perfect balance. The highlight is the delicate hazelnut-colored crema that crowns your espresso and subtly rounds off the flavor — a perfect moment of indulgence.

FAQ
Customer Questions
How much caffeine is still in Kimbo Decaffeinato?

Kimbo Decaffeinato is decaffeinated, but completely caffeine free does not exist. Every decaffeination process leaves a small amount of caffeine behind.

For roasted decaf coffee the EU sets a legal upper limit of 0.1 percent caffeine. According to the product description, Kimbo uses a modern decaffeination process that preserves the flavours as much as possible.

Where do the Kimbo Decaffeinato beans come from?

According to our product details, the beans come from Brazil, Colombia and Indonesia, so from South America and Asia.

Kimbo roasts the beans in the classic Neapolitan style in Italy. The result is a medium roast with sweet, nutty aromas and a fine hazelnut coloured crema.

Which machines is Kimbo Decaffeinato suitable for?

These are whole coffee beans in a 500 gram pack. According to our product details, Kimbo Decaffeinato is intended for espresso, filter coffee and cappuccino.

In a bean to cup machine or an espresso machine with its own grinder, the beans go straight in. If you use a pour-over filter or a percolator, you grind the beans yourself to the grind that suits that machine. Filter grind and percolator grind are not interchangeable.

Why is the crema of Kimbo Decaffeinato thinner than with regular coffee?

That is normal with decaf. During decaffeination the bean loses part of its oils and it is exactly those oils that create a firm crema.

If you do want a fuller crema, we advise you to dose slightly higher, grind a touch coarser and aim for a ratio of about 1 to 2 in 25 to 30 seconds. A slightly hotter brew temperature helps too.

How do I best store Kimbo Decaffeinato coffee beans?

Store the beans cool, dark and well sealed, in the original bag or in an airtight tin.

Do not put coffee beans in the fridge, because there they absorb moisture and odours.

The best before date is on the packaging. An opened pack is best used within a few weeks, because after that the coffee noticeably loses aroma.
