Does the Jura CLARIS Smart+ water filter fit my Jura Z6?

No, this CLARIS Smart+ filter does not fit the Jura Z6. It is a question we get quite often, because the filters look similar from the outside. For the Z6 we currently do not have a matching filter in our range.

Which Jura machines does the CLARIS Smart+ water filter fit?

This filter is intended for JURA bean to cup machines with the Intelligent Water System (I.W.S.). On those machines the coffee machine recognises the filter automatically via the RFID chip, so you do not have to set anything. Please note: not every JURA uses this system, and model names look very similar. So check the filter that is fitted at the moment or the manual of your machine before you order. If you are in doubt, feel free to put your question to our customer service.

How do I fit the CLARIS Smart+ filter in my Jura bean to cup machine?

You place the filter in the water tank of your JURA bean to cup machine. Thanks to the Intelligent Water System with RFID technology the machine recognises the filter by itself, so you do not have to change any settings. After that, follow the message on the display of your machine, for example to rinse the filter through. The manual of your JURA is decisive here.

When do I need to replace the Jura CLARIS Smart+ water filter?

Your machine keeps track of this itself: thanks to the Intelligent Water System your JURA indicates when the filter needs replacing. As a rule of thumb a water filter lasts about three months, or less with hard water and heavy use. Always follow the message and the manual of your own machine.

With the CLARIS Smart+ filter, do I no longer need to descale?

The CLARIS Smart+ filter already holds back limescale and impurities in the water tank, so less scale ends up in your machine. A water filter and a descaler are two different things though: the filter works up front, while a descaler removes scale that has already built up. Your JURA indicates itself when descaling is needed, so simply follow that message.
