Brazil 100% Arabica - Fresh Coffee Beans
Brazil 100% Arabica - Fresh Coffee Beans

Café du Jour 100% Arabica Brazil coffee beans are chosen for their exceptional quality and overall flavour profile. They're ideal for places like offices where people have diverse taste preferences. Each batch is visually inspected to ensure there are no defective beans (too small, too big, different colour). We sought a bean that offers a bit more quality and is larger compared to other popular varieties. This is the perfect stepping stone to speciality coffee beans if you've been buying beans from the supermarket for years and are ready for an upgrade.

Gina coffee beans come with a rich crema layer. These beans offer fantastic value for money and are perfect for both semi-automatic and fully automatic coffee machines.

FAQ
Customer Questions
Can I grind the Gina caffè crema beans for a filter coffee machine?

That is possible, but pay close attention to the grind size. From our customer service we know that a grind that is too fine gets stuck in a filter machine, which makes the filter overflow and leaves grit in the jug or the cup. If you grind too coarse, the coffee becomes weak instead. For a filter machine use a filter grind and rather increase the dose, about 5 to 8 grams per cup, than grind finer. These beans come into their own best in a semi automatic or bean to cup machine.

Is the Gina caffè crema suitable for my bean to cup machine?

Yes. These are whole coffee beans with a medium roast, suitable for both semi automatic and bean to cup coffee machines. A medium roasted bean is less oily than a dark roast, which bean to cup machines from Jura and Melitta for instance are more sensitive to. You simply fill the beans into the bean hopper; grinding is not needed, your machine does that itself.

What does the Gina caffè crema taste like and where do the beans come from?

The Gina caffè crema is known for its full layer of crema. We describe the taste as chocolatey and nutty, with a medium roast and a firm intensity. These are arabica beans from Brazil; the coffee is produced in Austria. Besides caffè crema and espresso, this blend also lends itself well to cappuccino.

How do I store the Gina caffè crema coffee beans after opening?

Seal the 1 kilo bag well after every use and store it cool, dark and dry, for example in a kitchen cupboard. We advise against the fridge, because coffee absorbs moisture and odours there. Unopened, roasted coffee keeps for about a year; the aroma is at its best within about three months. Do not fill the bean hopper of your machine with more than you use up in a few days.
