How do you descale your DeLonghi coffee machine?
Descaling your DeLonghi coffee machine is straightforward if you follow the steps in order. Always use a DeLonghi descaler or an approved alternative. The process takes around 20 to 30 minutes.
Step by step: descaling a DeLonghi
- Empty the water tank and remove the water filter if fitted.
- Fill the tank with 1 litre of water and add 100 ml of EcoDecalk (or the amount required for your model).
- Activate descaling mode via the display or buttons (see your manual).
- The machine pumps the solution through the system in stages.
- Rinse the tank twice with clean water afterwards.
- Run the rinse cycle as prompted by the machine.
- Refit a new water filter if needed.
