Yes, Kasteelhof is loose leaf tea without a bag, so you need a tea strainer, tea filter or refillable filter bag. Allow about 2 grams, a level teaspoon, per cup. Pour freshly boiled water over the tea and let it steep for 3 to 5 minutes. A teapot with a built-in filter works perfectly well too.

Yes. The base of Kasteelhof is black tea, which naturally contains caffeine, also known as theine. How much ends up in your cup depends on how much tea you use and how long you let it steep, because a shorter steeping time gives less caffeine. Kasteelhof consists of black tea, apple pieces, flavouring, cornflower blossom, rose petals, cinnamon and rosehip. That combination gives the tea its fruity and floral character with a hint of cinnamon. If you have an allergy or are sensitive to something, always read the ingredient list on the packaging you receive, because that is the one that counts.

At around 2 grams per cup, a 100 gram pack gives you about 50 cups. If you use a large mug or like your tea strong, it will be slightly fewer. Store the tea dry, dark and well sealed, so the apple pieces and petals keep their scent for as long as possible.
