The jug has a total capacity of 2.4 litres, of which 1.4 litres is filtered water. The upper part is the funnel that holds the unfiltered water while it passes through the filter.

The Aluna fits in the fridge door and has a filling flap that lets you fill it one-handed under the tap. The pouring lid keeps dust out.

How often do you replace the MAXTRA PRO filter of the BRITA Aluna White?

A MAXTRA PRO filter cartridge lasts up to 4 weeks or 150 litres. After that you replace it with a new cartridge.

The BRITA Smart Light on the jug keeps track of this for you with a colour indicator: green means the filter is fine, orange that replacement is almost due and red that it is time for a new cartridge.
