Details

Green Lemon is the citrus fresh green tea from the Tea Leaves Collection by Tea Cultures. Its base is sencha, a Japanese style green tea with a soft, clear taste. To that are added lemongrass, lemon peel and lemon essence, which give the cup a distinct citrus note. The result is a light, refreshing tea for any moment in between. Brew it with water at 80 degrees to keep the green tea gentle.

Flavour

Green Lemon is soft, fresh and citrusy. The lemon peel and lemon essence bring a bright, sparkling note, while lemongrass lays a herbal layer underneath. The sencha provides a calm, green base that carries the citrus nicely.

Hot or as iced tea

This blend is a pleasant choice for the afternoon, when you want something lighter than black tea. On a warm day Green Lemon also makes excellent iced tea: brew it, let it cool and pour it over ice cubes. A slice of fresh lemon finishes it off.

Organic and Fairtrade

Green Lemon is certified organic and Fairtrade. The green tea comes from organic cultivation and the growers receive a fair price for their harvest. That keeps the origins of your cup properly in order.

FAQ
Customer Questions
Does Green Lemon from Tea Cultures contain caffeine?

Yes. The base of Green Lemon is sencha, a Japanese style green tea, and green tea naturally contains caffeine. Theine and caffeine are the same substance, just under a different name.

If you want a cup without caffeine in the evening, take a look at rooibos or a herbal infusion. Those are naturally caffeine free.

How do you brew the Green Lemon tea bags from Tea Cultures?

Use 1 tea bag per cup and water at 80 degrees. Let the bag steep for 2 to 3 minutes.

We advise against using boiling water, because it makes green tea bitter. Let the water stand for a few minutes after boiling or use the tea setting on your kettle.

What is in the Green Lemon tea from Tea Cultures?

Green Lemon is a green tea based on sencha, with added lemongrass, lemon peel and lemon essence. That combination gives the cup a soft, fresh citrus note with a spicy layer underneath.

The blend is certified organic and Fairtrade. If you have an allergy, always read the ingredients list on the packaging.

Can you also make iced tea with Green Lemon tea?

Yes, this fresh citrus blend is well suited to that. Brew the tea as usual, let it cool and then pour it over ice cubes. A slice of fresh lemon finishes it off.

If you want a fuller flavour in the glass, brew the tea a little stronger than normal. The melting ice dilutes the tea, after all.

How many tea bags are in a pack of Green Lemon?

A pack contains 25 tea bags of 2 grams, 50 grams of tea in total. Each bag is individually wrapped, so the aroma is preserved until you open the bag.

Green Lemon is number 10 from the Tea Leaves Collection by Tea Cultures.
