Rwanda Specialty 100% Arabica - Fresh Coffee Beans

This coffee is sourced from the Simbi processing plant located in the Huye district of Rwanda's southern province. Simbi is managed by Abdul, who was inspired by his grandmother to enter the coffee business. She was a coffee farmer herself and one of the few in rural Rwanda who roasted and enjoyed her own coffee daily. The washhouse was built between 2011 and 2012. Official operations began in 2013 with a team of 85 people, 80% of whom were women. In the same year, they entered the Rwanda Cup of Excellence for the first time, securing 9th place out of 159 entries. We roast this coffee at a relatively low temperature, though it darkens a bit earlier than most, resulting in a medium roast.
